I want to get a tattoo on my right arm, and the only thing stopping me is the thought that it might affect my chances of getting my dream job.

I guess it could easily be covered up with long sleeves, even 3/4 sleeves, so technically people wouldn't even have to know about it. In my school we are not allowed to wear short sleeves, especially those that reveal our shoulders even in the summer, so I would have no problems with conforming to a professional dress code which covers it.

However, I'm a female, and it could be considered as unfeminine.

The tattoo would look something like this but in more of a watercolour style

Any reason for the wolf tattoo? Is it meaningful?

At my work (global manufacturing logistics company) we have various folk (managers even) with tattoos, sleeves even all down to their fingers and yet they can still hold down a managerial role. Guess it depends if its coverable or not, which depending on uniform and such it may not be.

No, lots of lecturers these days are quite alternative. I wouldn't recommend one on your face, neck or hands though.

Provided you can hide it for interviews you're golden. I used to wear a nose ring to work and nobody said anything.*

As long as you can cover it when needed (like the interview) youll be fine. Hand, neck and head would probably be a no go though
