A few of those work experience kids came into After School club today, and I had an awkward moment with one of them.:erm: She came up to me and went, "HI HOW ARE YOU, WHAT CLASS WERE YOU WITH TODAY?" She thought I was a work experience kid! Okay, it was a very easy mistake to make as I don't wear the uniform like the other staff do... But I felt rather awkward so I distanced myself from her because I didn't want to have to explain to her that I am 21 and not 15/16/17/however old they are, and that I am a member of staff... When I've explained that in the past to people, I always think it makes me so sound a bit snotty, like "I'm paid to be here and I'm older than you:smug:"
So I think she was quite annoyed and confused (judging by her body language:giggle:) at how I started sweeping up and washing the dishes and stuff.
