For question 5 of the paper above why do you have to say that it is coplanar. Why can 't you say collinear.

Because they're not collinear.

It's probably easier to see in 2D, for example A=(1,0), B=(0,1). and C=(1,1)

So, OC = OA + OB, so coplanar, but they're clearly not collinear - diagram if in doubt.
