Not feeling ready - have been doing vocab on and off on Memrise for the past few months but haven't looked at any constructions for ages. Thankfully did the first paper in January so have the majority of it under my belt - hoping I don't mess tomorrow up!

I'm sure it will go well! Have you had results from January or do you have to wait till August for them - if so that's a really long time!!

How did it go?
i did the Level 1 Additional beforehand, that was easy- they even let us finish 15 minutes early to go onto the level 2!

The Level 2 was, in my opinion, on the harder end of things but I felt that with some long nervous stares at the word I wrote something reasonable down. Really, it was the last paragraph of the translation that was a complete pest.

But, I can at last say Vale to Latin!

Yes it was quite hard! The tense was all past as far as I can recall wasn't it? At least I hope it was haha! Yes it's quite a nice feeling that I will never again have to do a past paper for Latin or a 30 word vocab tester every night I forgot what conatus meant in the exam - think that was hopefully the only major vocab problem! Vale, indeed, to Latin!

I think there was one or two bits of future in the comprehension bit when they were talking about going to war. and conatus of course means try, and it is a deponant verb so you should have translated it as active,

Oh yeah - I think I translated those bits as future!
I know it's so annoying - I had a completely blank moment! Hopefully it won't knock too many marks off :/

Do you know roughly how many marks out of 150 it is to get an A and how many marks out of 150 for an A*?

For the Core it tends to be a bit over 80/100 for an A*, and for additional I think it is a bit over 40. My teacher has always marked us comparatively harshly in class, saying only 90% is an A*, but of course the grade boundaries will depend on how well people generally do.
