I'm starting the EPQ this summer and i need ideas, I want to maybe base it off politics and history or religion and history, but I can't do the period of the Tudors (1509-1603) or the German reformation (1500-1555). Any ideas??

Do some reasearch and find out what interests you. I've heard that in order to do well in this EPQ you need to be 100% committed and actually want to further look into the area.
For example: this summer I want to take my EPQ, after reading some stuff on Transition Element Chemistry (I also went to a lecture at King's about this) I have been inspired to further research into their chemistry and hope to do the EPQ on something like this
So basically read around and be inspired
