Playing rugby at Uni watch

    • Thread Starter

Hey. I stopped playing the sport 3 years ago because of other commitments (as well as a fair few niggling injuries) but I really want to start playing again in the summer and hopefully at uni. Haven't played in a while but was wondering where people think I'm best suited to positionally. I've played at 9, 10 and 15 in the past.

I'm 18, 5'8" in height and weigh 78 kg (just less than 12.5 stone)

Strengths: Passing, organising, catching high kicks.

Weaknesses: Not exactly quick and kicking was a little bit hit and miss. Defence occasionally a bit if'y as well but wouldn't say poor. Obviously I'll try and address my weaknesses and the more I play, hopefully the better I'll get.

Obviously tough to say off this but where do you guys think I'd be best suited to now? Thanks

Pretty certainly scrum half. You're weaknesses won't be exposed like they would at 10 or 15 (kicking and pace), whereas two of your main strengths would be best suited to the position.
