I'd really like to study Psychology at University of Surrey (applying for 2019 entry). So far, I have volunteered as a befriender at a care home once a week for 3 months (around 45 hours in total). Does anyone know how much voluntary work is sufficient to gain an offer for Psychology BSc at this university? Also, do they hold interviews for shortlisted candidates?

    Thanks!

you don't usually need significant experience (if any!) for psych undergrad, unless you're looking at a really competitive course (think Oxbridge)

EDIT: if you want to pursue a career in psychology (clinical/educational/forensic/etc) then it is useful to start building up experience, what you're doing now can help you gain relevant paid employment later
