When i start first year i will be 21 and i really want to have a good time and meet some friends for life.
Will i be able to fit in even though i will be 2 school years older? Do people at university even care?
What about girls, as i will be in first year most will be 18-19 will it look weird going out with a fresher?
Someone help me out?

Definitely not! While it is true that many freshers will be 18-19, many also are not - whether its a gap year, previous degrees, complications or other, many people choose to go to uni later - one of my friends will be 23 this year, and is just finishing their first year of Medicine.
Age really isn't a big thing like it might have been at school - you'll find that with many different ages around, no one will mindLast edited by Ostrich; 07-06-2016 at 16:54.

I'll have just had my 25th birthday when I start, I made a thread about it not too long ago. The best advice I got was just don't mention your age and people will get to know you before finding out you're older. I look about 12 anyway when I'm clean shaven so its not too bad for me. A lass I've known for a while I believe has just started and I'm sure shes 28 or so.
Also on an applicant day I went to i was chatting to a few people cause I'm quite friendly and it didn't feel weird for me. I've worked with people of all ages so to me age is just a number.Last edited by pointblank91; 07-06-2016 at 20:15.
