Can you hide the fact you've done a resit in Maths gcse?

Here's the thing I want to do a course in university but I'll likley only get a C in maths and would like to resit it in November. It will be Done in the same year
(2016) and I'm not going to take any special classes for it just revise by myself.
Could I get away with doing that?. They didnt say anything about having it at the end of year 11 they just want minimum maths and English language at grade B and it's not a comeptive course like medicine they don't care about GCSEs that much it's just the A levels they really care about.
I'm not too sure, but I resat my maths cause I got a D in November (It was like a trial thing, if you got your GCSE in maths, great, you can do whatever you want, like revise for other subjects but those who didn't got extra help to pass in summer)
It appeared as two separate qualifications, however, it did have the date of the exams on the certificates.
Not sure if that's what you mean, but you may get questioned about it cause of varying dates & stuff.
It'd be best to contact your chosen university and ask.
