HI, i am wondering if anyone has any advice on my fiancés situation? He recently quit his current university so he could join another in Manchester. This is a far distance from where he lives so commuting is not an option.
He applied for the university and got accepted, he then accepted this offer. Although, now he cannot access funds he was told he would be given by his parents which would help out massively with his accommodation and living costs. He can only receive £2,000 student finance a year so this isn't much to rent with and his only able to work two days part time in Manchester which if he's lucky will earn his around £500 a month which isn't enough for two to live on and rent.
He is wondering if declining this offer is his best option by ringing up and explaining his financial situation to the university and to take a gap year and trying next year after working full time and saving up for a year but he also isn't sure if the university will decline in future because he will have to reject this year.
    Any information would be helpful

    Thanks, x

Do you agree with the PM's proposal to cut tuition fees for some courses?
