Year 0 - Foundation year at Carmel College

I have a conditional offer for the foundation year at Carmel college and have applied for accommodation at Crown Place and Vine Court and wondered if anyone else was in the same boat?

Also, does anyone else have experience of the year 0 whilst staying at either of the above? Just wondered how you managed to balance socialising/living in halls whilst being in college 9am-4pm 5 days a week?

I don't personally have the experience of it as I'm going to be going to Liverpool myself in September, but I know of people who have gone to Carmel and have really enjoyed it and made friends on their courses and in halls, if this is reassuring in any way!

I've just completed my year 0 and I was in the same boat as you last year, applying for the same accomodation and doing the same course. I didn't manage to get either Crown Place or Vine Court but they offered me Philharmonic Court instead so be prepared if you don't get offered Crown or Vine. Also, balancing socialising/living isn't too hard because not every day is 9 to 4.

Hi im also doing a foundation year but for computer science, and i was wondering if i could ask you some questions about the year 0.

1) When will they give you information about it as i have already got accepted and i havent got any information about the course or when it will start.

2) How long is the commute to carmel college as I've been given crown palace and i was worried about the commute to the college

3) How was foundation year?

Hi, I'm doing foundation to health studies this year. I asked Carmel college and they told me induction week will begin 19th sept and lessons begin 26th sept. I assume it will be similar for other courses. She said we will get more information in mid August. If you have any specific questions I would recommend contacting the college.

Does anyone know what this guidance interview is about, as I had received an email from Carmel college saying register and they talked about
arranging an interview after I had completed the registration. Is our place still
confirmed if we don't well in the interview. I'm not that great at interviews to be honest
