I'm interested in participating in NCS this year, however, I'm not sure if it's really for me.
I have social anxiety, and currently, I don't attend school because of it, and I'm worried that something like NCS will be too stressful or upsetting for me, even though I love the whole idea of it.
I'd just like some opinions from people who've done it before if I would be able to cope with it or not.

I have anxiety and I did the The Challenge with NCS and I loved it. The groups you're put in are small so it's not too overwhelming and from what I remember you stay in those groups for the 2/3 weeks so you really get to know these people and can be comfortable around them instead of being around too many people. Also the staff (at least when I was there) are really nice and will give you whatever support you need if you ask for it. You also get quite a lot of time to yourself in terms of
I think it would be a really great way for you to get back into the habit of being around people because you do stuff like team building and group work with people who genuinely want to be there (unlike things like school where people can be annoying and hard to deal with because they don't want to be there) so it's a very good way of developing some good core skills and overcoming barriers.
They never force you to do anything you really don't want to do, so as long as you let the staff know about your anxiety in advance (if you are comfortable with that) they will try their best to make sure you can cope so you can get the most out of it!
