    Hi guys.

Basically, I'm in a bit of a pickle. I have a vac scheme with a law firm that overlaps with the start date of a graduate scheme I have been offered. It would mean that I miss the first week of the graduate scheme, to be on the vac scheme, or vis versa. If I were to be offered a training contract following the vac scheme, I would most likely opt for that over the graduate scheme. But, obviously, its not a guaranteed role so I needed a back-up option. What are your thoughts? Would I be able to get away with missing the first week of the graduate scheme without them finding out about the vac scheme? Stressful times!

Good luck missing the first week of the graduate scheme. There will be an induction of some form, you will need to be there.

Could you defer your start date for your grad programme?

Much easier for you to miss the last week of the vac scheme.
