Hi, I would like to study a masters degree with the OU as I am a carer for a member of the family and distance learning is the only option. However, would the postgraduate loan affect the benefits we receive? I did read somewhere that it only affected them if you received more than the course fees. Is that right? Trying to work out the best option so any help appreciated as it's not really made clear.
    Thanks!

Yes that's right, its likely the 10k will be more than you need for course fees so i would accept it to have some sort effect on your benefits.

Thanks for the reply. In that case, can I just apply for the course fees ?
