    for question 1, the nucleus captured a neutron and released a proton, they have the same mass so the atomic mass stays the same but sin one proton is removed from the nucleus that means the atomic number reduces by 1. making its atomic number 6 from 7. For question 2 the answer is A because after releasing two beta particles ( neutron turns into proton twice mass stays the same but charge changes) and an alpha particle is emitted( contains two protons and two neutron) these cancel out each other making the atomic number stay the same but the two neutrons lost reduces the atomic mass, turning the atom into an isotope of what it used to be. I hope i made you understand it.
