Edexcel M1 Wednesday 8th June 'Mew R' Question Watch

1. The question 6 I think where you have an inclined plane and you have to find 'Mew'. Did anyone else get that really quickly and easily?

I just solved vertically and horizontally and did it in half a page. It bugged me though because there was 3 pages of room to show your working?
2. I found Mew but used all my pokéballs and couldn't catch it. :/
No but really it was easy, surprisingly so.
3. was it 0.727
4. Yeah i wouldnt worry - the answer is 0.73 or 0.727 according to some unofficial mark schemes ive seen. I think a lot of the time they give you a lot of space in case you have to cross loads of stuff out, and ya kno, some people have massive handwriting

was it 0.727
hell yea it was
6. Yeah thats exactly what happened to me, I thought it was a trick question it was 10 marks for like 3 lines of working
7. what did yous get for the mass and distance on the moments. I got d=1.2 and mass was 42 kg or something similar
8. I know the internet was built in order to distribute pictures and videos of kittens, but really! Here's the Latex for future use: .
9. Yeah I was really confused! 4 lines of working out and a bit of drawing on the given diagram was all I needed. 0.73, yes? 10 marks!
To be honest, the paper as a whole was very fun. Challenging, but not painful!
10. Similar questions in past papers often reward multiple marks for certain lines of working. It's easy to slip up so they give you plenty of accuracy marks.

I got 0.72 too, btw.
11. Solving horizontally and vertically is an ugly way of doing it.
JLegion, the answer wasn't 0.72 so I hope that's a typo!

It was! I got 0.727, fortunately I rounded it to 2 sig figs correctly in the paper.
13. Lol I spent like 3 mintutes drawing a fancy diagram (pencil/ruler and everything), only to do 2/3 lines of subsequent working. Nice question though, can't complain
