You should contact the teachers and ask them which modules they intend to cover. There are many.
Do it if you enjoy it and can get a good grade.

There are a large number of topics you could take for History, and they will change depending on what sixth form you go to.

I do OCR History, and it's epic.

FWIW, I went to a talk by a uni admissions officer a short while back, and he said the 2 best A-levels to take, if you're unsure about what you want to do, are Maths and History. Maths because of the problem-solving and so on, and History because of the research aspect, looking at/checking different sources and the critical thinking skills needed. Worth considering.

You need to contact the school/college you are going to for 6th form to find out what the topics are. There are so many - your school/college chooses which ones you do.

You need to check with your school/college what the topics are. I did OCR and I really loved it! But its HARD. There's a lot of things you have to remember for exams, regardless of exam board. I really recommend it, though. If you enjoy history in general then you will enjoy it as an A level & hopefully get a good grade at the end!
