Firstly, when do they start writing them? Is it after we get our AS grades? Secondly, my teacher said it was a closed reference, and that we weren't allowed to discuss with him what he was going to write but he said 'not to worry' because he will be very flattering about all of us. However I am worried. Are we not even allowed to see it after he's written it?? what do teachers mention in a reference? For example in history I sit next to this girl who talks like there's no tomorrow, and for her, it shows because she gets E's but for me I get C's and B's so will the history teacher mention I work hard even if others distract me. Although my history teacher was pretty bad and I literally taught myself from the textbook

I think you can pay a fee to ucas to be sent the information they have for your application, including the reference, for 25 pounds, but that would be after you submit it.

Don't worry too much about it though, do your best on your exams, which is within your control, have a great personal statement, and you will likely be fine.

It depends entirely on your teachers.
