Young Driver car insurance advice. watch

    • Thread Starter

Hey, so as anyone else on this planet I passed my driving test back in march, and since then i have been looking at many different cars and many different comparing websites, what i found is that the more expensive/newer the car the cheaper the cover. my cheapest quote was for a 2016 Vauxhall Corsa, with £1.5k on Tesco Black Box and the older the car the price would go 2.9k+ on different policies.

I am in a position where I cannot be as the second driver no matter what, I am the only member in my family who has a licence right now, although my cousins family have a licence they refuse to help me with this second driver thing as they as scared, because again i'm still young.

So I am looking for anyone whos has been in my position or who is who has the same problem where everything has to be on their own name, if so i am looking for advice as to what i should do.

If anyone has advice please help me, I do have the budget to afford a decent car and a decent price for insurance but obviously i wont be paying 3k+ for insurance.

Any suggestions and advice? Thank you in advance.

Same situation for me.have you got any solution? I have just passed my test a week ago, I found insurance between 2.5 to 4. No additional driver. How can i get under 2k? Im looking to buy 2007-2010 corsa, my range is 1.5k to 2.5k for car.
