Have you tried anticipating what questions they might ask? For how to sell yourself, just say I'm hard working, puncutal, I really would like to be a part of (wherever) and learn whatever you want to learn (eg how a business works or something)
It looks good also if you research the business and can ask questions like 'how long have you been designing...' or 'what's the employee turnover' or 'what's the busiest time etc'
This from the man who hasn't had a job in many moons.
