Hi, first-time poster so forgive any formatting errors:

I'm going to be spending my next year abroad as a compulsory part of my course. I've applied for student finance and they've told me that all I'm eligible for, with the exception of the tuition loan, is the reduced amount of Maintenance Loan (£2970) and no Grant. I am going to get the Erasmus grant and I'll be getting paid for my work.

Is this correct? Do Erasmus students not get Maintenance Grants? Is there a way to get any more?

My sister apparently got a full grant and loan last year when she went abroad. I've received the maximum amount of grant both years that I've been at University. Online resources haven't really given me a clear answer; Erasmus's FAQ, for instance states that: "Students still receive their UK maintenance grant and/or loan."
Do you like carrot cake?
