Grade C in maths is usually required for Biology but also isn't it required to get into 6th form in the first place?

You can do biology but you'll probably have to resit GCSE maths during college/sixth form

Do you know what these symbols mean ÷, x, +, -
If the answer is yes, then you can do the maths in A-level biology.

Probably not, science a levels involve quite intermediate maths so if you fail maths at gcse they will probably think that you will struggle in biology

Usually at 6th forms, you need a C in maths to get in and if you don't get it this year, you'll have to learn the new syllabus and resit it in year 12.

    Not biology.
yh it doesn't have as much as chem and physics but even at higher tier gcse science, you need to be above the C grade to do the maths questions given in gcse papers.
So if you get below a c in gcse maths, the maths questions in a level are only gonna be harder.

Not in A-level biology though. Maths in A-level biology is only grade D/E in GCSE maths.

Probably not, most colleges require a C in maths to do A Level and many have higher requirements for sciene (you need a B in maths to do biology at my local college)

At my 6th form you need a B in maths to do Biology A-Level.... i would advise that if you don't get a C then be prepared to have a very tough time doing Biology (if you still decided to take it)..... i got an A in maths and GCSE and found the maths in Biology hard + the exam boards have been told to increase amount of Biology in the exams!!

    Well I don't know I didn't make the rules

I guess it depends on what skills are expected of you?
