uni offer, help!

I'm currently studying access to nursing. The uni I would like to go to has given me a conditional offer: Pass the access course with a merit/distinction profile.
What exactly does this mean? Students going to different universities are being given very specific offers, such as '30 merits'
My offer seems very vague and I'm not exactly sure what it is they want.

Presumably a mixture of merits and distinctions (ie no passes or fails), though it is very vague. The website uses the same imprecise language. Contact them and ask for clarification.
