# AQA 7407/02 New spec Unofficial Mark schem watch

1. 1) 1.7mm maybe 2.7mm

highest emf was 1456 or something
value of alpha was 10
100000 was the highest voltage reading
unsuitable to use because its smallest measurement was 2000 but highest reading was 1456 so the resolution was not great enough and equipment not sensitive enough

4 resistors required
power 110W (114)
Order of area 1x10^-1 maybe just be 10^0

0.51mm was the diameter
1.65x10^11 I think was young modulus

moments was 0.73Nm

MCQ:
phase differene pi/4
diffraction grating one was D
velocity was 0 and speed 2.4m/s
the refraction one was optical density
antiproton was uud all with bars above
annihiliation was p + pbar => 2 gamma phorons

7. for the moments question, am I right in thinking I had to multiply the weight of the ball by the 12cm PLUS half of the diameter of the ball (because the force acts downwards from the ball's COM)?

Yes should of got 0.73

The zero line was past 2, and the 9 line was lined up with the other scale. And Im pretty sure you had to put 2.70 or 2.90 (something my teacher said)

Yeah, that question was irritating because it did not tell you it was a uniform sphere, or where the centre of mass acted.
