hi I'm not to the student room so sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place!
I am 16 and have lots of experience lined up for the summer, I was just wondering if abroad work experience counts? I am volunteering at a wildlife sanctuary in Thailand for two weeks next year, with elephants, bears, gibbons etc
also I was wondering what to wear for my week of calving on a dairy farm?
    Thank You
    Alice

    Yes it counts

And a boiler suit and wellies - steel toe capped is preferable imo. Water proof trousers might also be of use

    Hope that helps

I was always told it doesn't count if it's abroad as you would have an unfair advantage over those who cannot afford it. I went to South Africa for 3 months before I applied and I still put it down on my application but I was told it wouldn't be looked at.
    Calving wise, as above 😂😢
