    Hi !

Was wondering what the general opinion was regarding, if I get a grade or two lower than my firm uni have offered me, what are the chances I will still get on the course ? I have received an offer from Cardiff to study law and criminology if I get AAB. But what happens if I don't get the grades? HELP

    1. You havent met the offer.
    2. Get on the phone to them as they may have spare places for people who have fallen one grade below or in some circs even two. If you dont get the grades then its up to them whether they want you. All depends how many others made the grade.

Just contact them as soon as possible if you miss the grades to see if they will still consider you. They may take you, but Cardiff is a Russell Group uni and they have standards to uphold so they may be really harsh or may be kind if its a very slight miss. As it is a joint honours I would say they would be lenient, whereas straight Law perhaps not so much.

    What is your insurance uni?

Cardiff is a good uni, but its law course is at the weak end of the Russell Group unis. There is already an unspoken rule in uni admissions that they'll take one missed grade (AAA offers and really they'll take AAB), but factoring in that it's Cardiff and it's combined with a non-law subject, you should stand a fair chance of getting in with ABB.
