Been offered a assisted entry contract but unsure what it is.

I have been offered an assisted entry contract as I need to resit Maths. They said to me that I would have to get 100% attendance and complete work on time within a month.

I'm unsure what a assisted entry contract is.

I was thinking it was a trial run on the course that lasts for a month and if I do everything needed of me they would keep me on the course. Is that what it means?
