I got a B in my last mock and I'd really like an A/A* in history because it's one of my favourite subjects. My own knowledge for paper 2 is great, but I'm better at the paper 1 style questions where you write about whether somebody gained more from something for example. If anybody who gets As or A*s in paper 2 history could tell me how they structure their answers that'd be fantastic. Thanks.

I just scraped an A* in my last mock for paper 2; what I do is I comment on the source and who wrote it (also giving details of the source). Say why there are limitations to it ( eg written by a political party trying to gain votes) but also say how it proves a point or a statement. Then end with either "despite this source having clear political bias it shows..." or "because there is a clear bias to this source..."
