Would I be eligible for special consideration if I was missing my grandmother's funeral to do an exam?

What should I say? Like how should I approach the conversation?

You might find it easier for you (or you Mum) to email because then you can take your tie to say the right thing. Try asking if things can be re-arranged so you don't have to miss the funeral - we've let students start exams at 0830 so that they can leave at 1000 to get to funerals.
