i have literally applied for 12 jobs and not one has asked me to come in for an interview. They always say they want someone with more experience but the only experience i have is from work experience i did last year, it's so frustrating!

I'm in a similar position to you. For me it's not that there aren't jobs around my area, the problem is that there aren't any that I'm interested in. Why don't you try and find a job working in retail or working in a cafe? From what I've heard, these jobs are much less likely to ask for experience so would probably provide you with a better chance of securing a job.

Applying for 12 jobs is nothing. Most people when looking for jobs would send of that many applications a day, not overall. If you need a job you should be applying for anything and everything you can.

You need to keep trying 12 really isn't that much especially when you've not got much experience. Also change your CV around slightly if your not getting responses and make sure you tailor your CV to the jobs you apply for.

I think it took me close to 50 before I got my 1st job.

i manage to get my first in 8 but the guy was pretty bad to the staff a lot of the time
but i have had to look at getting something to top up my jewellery fund since i blew everything and need some on hand cash rather than money in stock in transit
bu i find that most places i tried worked best if i just walked in and asked for a position
Have you ever experienced racism/sexism at uni?
