    Hi,

    On this multiple choice questionnaire:

    15) A positive ion has charge-to-mass ratio of 2.40x10^7 Ckg^-1. It is held stationary in a vertical electric field.
Which line, A to D, in the table shows correctly both the strength and the direction of the electric field?

    Answer: C 2.45x10^6 , direction Upwards

    Why?? How please?

Have a look at this answer from a few years ago.

I get the same answer as they do i.e. 4.08x10^-7 Not sure where 2.45x10^6 comes from.
