AQA AS physics 2016 paper 2 9th june Unofficial Mark Scheme

We should start an unofficial mark scheme for the paper we sat on the 9th. any questions remembered will be greatly appreciated. Only comment with helpful information about the paper. PS we don't care for how horrid you found the paper. Thanks

If you use newtons second law of motion and imagine thatboth eh braking force and thrust force are constant , you will realise that ifmass decreases then acceleration has to increase in order to maintain the samethrust and braking force.

F = ma --> Imagineif F=5000N and m=500kg. then that means that a = 10ms^-2

but now if the massdecreases , but the thrust force stays the same then that means thatacceleration must increase.

F = 5000N but m isnow = 250kg then a = 20ms^-2

hence the answer mustbe that the acceleration must be higher as well as the deceleration too. But imean you are making assumptions like the braking force and thrust force isconstant every lap which is impossible.
