I wear the hijab and I am very worried about travelling into central London every day for uni in September. This is of course due to recent terrorist events and the increase in islamophobia. I'm thinking for this reason to stop wearing my headscarf, but I don't know.

I don't wear a headscarf so I don't know how often you would potentially receive comments but I would feel personally that you shouldn't let a few racist individuals change the way you follow your culture/religion. Do what you want to do and the vast majority of people would happily support you on that.
