    Just going through some past papers and there are a few questions that have me stumped.
    Can anyone explain AQA UNIT 4 2015 PHYSICS A Questions 7,10,13,21
    I got 7 right but I am still uncertain as to why or how one goes about it properly (Physics behind it) and the other questions listed above.
    It will be greatly appreciated by me and my friends if anyone can help us understand these questions.

    21, Force on a wire = BIL where L is length of wire perpendicular to field, in this case the height of the wire. Torque = force x distance between them, F x width of coil,

    Therefore F= BILW, as B and I are constant the most torque is where the length and width have the greatest product
