Gym at Liverpool Uni

Does anyone know if there is a proper gym at the University of Liverpool, either on campus or at halls. Thanks

I'm not at the uni I'm at JMU, but my friends use the Liverpool Uni gym. It's on the campus, near to the little Tesco if you know where that is. You get it for cheaper if you're a Uni of Liverpool member.

I think they do but it's at the IM marsh campus where the sports students are. Grand Central has a gym which JMU students can use though

but i heard grand central's gym is pooch and has no free weights...

I've been told it isn't that good and is quite expensive. As for the weights I couldn't tell you, I'm a lazy bugger and don't attend a gym :tongue:

according to the accomodation leaflets...the GC gym is £50 annually...?

dats not bad but is it worth it as there are not free weights section der...and that is what i heard from a very reliable source (coady)...hmmmm lol

The Uni Of Liverpool website says that JMU students can join there gym at the lovely rate of £120 a year.

Thats still good...£10 a month, but i'd prefer £50 a year :P, especially considering the internet is £155 (according to the leaflet)
But to be honest I tent to do cardio and static weights rather than free, so its not such a big issue for me...although I do them every now and then.

I notice that they have the hotel w/ gym near me is under the same brand...

The Uni of Liverpool gym is £92.50 for Liverpool Students, slightly more for JMU / LIPA / Hope, or it's £50 just for swimming and the courts.

By the way, the Uni of Liverpool gym does have freeweights.

Depends- it's busy on a weds afternoon, but apart from that no. I've never not been able to get on a machine i wanted.

errr, i've never counted! hazard a guess at about 20 though. Yeah, weds afternoons are just busy cos everyone has them off for sports.
