Hi, I feel like i'm constantly arguing with my mum and it's starting to get me down. I'm taking my GCSE's at the moment, and just prefer to be alone when revising so I can concentrate better. I'm an only child as well, so feel more comfortable in my own space, but my mum is taking this really personally as if I have a problem with her. I know I'm being really off with her at the moment, but I don't understand why, and literally cannot control my attitude towards her. However, she's always making comments at me trying to make me feel guilty like 'how do you feel when you're constantly nasty to me' which puts my back up more, because silly comments like these doesnt make me want to spend time with her. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I build a better relationship with my mum?

Maybe your unintentionally being rude to her and she's reacting bad to it? Just try and make time to go out and have a fun experience with your mum ASWELL as revise for your GCSE's, or if you really are just trying to study at the moment, then explain you just need time to yourself until after your exams and you can hang out again.

She may just miss having her kid around as much, or having trouble accepting you're growing up. Just try and be nice because family lasts forever!
