    Background:
I am currently holding 2 offers from 2 different universities at ABB.

I finished sixthform in 2015 and am currently on a year out retaking 2/3 a2 levels. (I did well on one a2 level last year which I am not retaking).

    Consider this situation:
Subject 1: have already achieved an A* (for a level) (this accounts for the A in the ABB offer)
meaning I now have to meet the conditions of 2 B's:

subject 2 (very relevant to the course - B grade required): have achieved a B in AS
hope to achieve an A/B in A2 this year

however subject 3 presents a bit of a problem:

Subject 3 (not relevant to the course - B grade required): have achieved an A in AS.
    am retaking A2 this year

    however:
For subject 3 the A2 is split into 2 exams comprised of:
    component 1 (60% of A2 grade): Lets say I achieved a B
    component 2 (40% of A2 grade) : let's say I achieved an E.

    Questions:
How do universities recieve the grades? will they receive my overall A2 grades or will they see the breakdown of the 2 exams for each A2?

In the above hypothetical situation do you think it would still be possible to achieve ABB, or if not ABC?

I believe they will get the overall A2 grades and not the exam breakdown. Without knowing the subject and exam board i m only guessing but I believe you wouldnt get that B if a component of the A2 is a grade E, a C could be possible but that depends on the ums.

Universities receive your overall qualification grades and can access your module grades if they want to.
