What is the meaning of this Albert Einstein Quote? watch

    I only discovered this quote today and am very curious as to what the actual meaning (or meanings) are of this quote.... it goes like

    "Everything should be as simple as possible but not simpler"-Albert Einstein

    ....It might just be very straight forward and I am being an idiot but would appreciate any and all opinions...

    He meant that you should do things properly. Trying to do something quicker, or via a more basic or simple process will usually result in an undesirable outcome. A bodged job basically. It also implies theres no need to over complicate things either, you dont need the hubble space telescope to look at the moon.

    Another example is if you want to change the tyre on your car, use a proper machine to do it rather than whatever basic tools people typically have at home.

    Ultimately that quote can be summed up in 2 words; common sense. Ironic as its quite rare these days.
