Hi there, not sure where to post it, but I have just sat an A-level exam as an external student and had a terrible experience with the school that hosted the exam.
I arrived in plenty of time (40min before exam), signed in at the reception but nobody has come to collect me! Eventually they found two students to take me to the sports hall, but as soon as I got there, they left without a word. I entered the hall and everyone was already opening their papers and then I was told this wasn't even the right room and they didn't have my paper! They had to take me back to the reception, then went back to the sports hall with the right paper and I was graciously allowed full 90min even though it was already late. However, the last 10min were a complete write off as everyone made so much noise leaving the hall and I couldn't concentrate at all. On top of it, one of the invigilators clearly had no respect for the students and kept laughing throughout the exam.
I find this incredibly unacceptable and stressful, and it impacted my exam very negatively! I know I cannot leave it like that, but not sure of what I can do? Any advice would be much appreciated.

I'm sorry you had this experience. You reasonably expected a better one, but didn't get it. Very unfortunate and disappointing.
My advice is to give it a few days to calm down and get perspective. Then figure out, if you still feel strongly, what your options are.
Don't underestimate the difficulties of using a complaints/legal process. Trust me.

Thanks, I've cooled down a bit, but still want to go ahead with reporting it in one way or another - even if it is only to stop something similar happening to someone else.
