I saw a survey once that identified the most right-wing and most left-wing universities based on political party preference

Top right-wing universities I recall are:
-Durham
-Exeter
-Imperial
-Warwick
-York
-Royal Agricultural College
-Hull
-Kings (pretty sure this is wrong)

Some Oxbridge colleges were said to be quite right-wing too, but not as entire universities

I'm at Durham you can take that off the list.

True, but i guess a greater proportion of left wing people are intellectual compared to right wing.

I think the very reason for this is the complacency the right places in the status quo, which is in opposition to the challenging of prior knowledge that marks intellectualism. It's inherently progressive.

Imperial definitely isn't right wing it's a left wing jizzfest

Oh what a coincidence - Durham is my firm choice!

A few fun political questions about Durham;

-Is there much love for Donald J.Trump?
-Does the SU hate or have a strong dislike towards Israel/Jews?
-Why should Durham not be on the aforementioned list?

Being contrarian and opposing the status quo isn't necessarily progressive nor is it a mark of intellectualism. There's a reason why it is the populist idea. It seems like right wing people say what they do for the fun of it now and not always being so progressive and the intellects can see right through that.
The 'university of life' is very right wing

Stop putting jews and israel under the same category. Most jews aren't zionist fanatics.

Left wing are far worse.
Because they sound nice, Woo Everyone gets a share of money and the workers have power. Lets see how well communism or socialism works, Terribly.

But too far right or left is bad but the state of the world needs to be a little more right

...yet the best countries in the world are socialist/left wing. Iceland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden etc.

The left don't dislike both. There will be extremists in every ideology so please don't generalise

I think it is because when young you believe in an ideal fair world

Left wing is blind though
TSR is full of left wing people, as many of them are those types of students who do art and wear pink wristbands and use to be into gothic stuff but then went hipster and believe in freedom but not free speech etc etc.

Correct!

Does the UEA sound good?

Lefty/luvvy enough?

On an unrelated note I'd avoid UEA like the plague. It's a concrete monstrosity and from what I saw of the Comp Sci department it was stuffed in the corner of a building.

You'll also find it hard to find a right wing uni just because younger people tends to be more left than right. Although that's a generalisation, and also most of the people I speak to tend to be quite central anyways.

EDIT: To clarify, this survey was based off which party students would vote for. The ones I've listed are scored the highest proportion for conservative/UKIP voters. Definitely not representative of their SU!

I don't think you'll find any UKIP voters in any of those universities, or perhaps any decent university for that matter.

Don't be so prejudiced, I personally don't support UKIP, but they ARE NOT racists and they are not a hate group,

For liberals tht like freedom, you guys really don't like free speech do you?
