Using Provisional Licence as ID? watch

    • Thread Starter

I have just gotten my provisional licence and I will be using as ID in a pub for the first time tomorrow. However I used my existing passport photo, which was taken when I was 14, instead of a new photo. Will this be an issue? There is some clear resemblance between the picture. Should I just update to a new photo?

From many years of using my ID, people don't really bother to check the photo - they just look at the DOB and that's that. You might get the odd arbiter of underage drinking laws who makes a fuss, but you should just point out it's not a great photo of you and - unless they can point to something concrete which proves your ID is fake - they should serve you.

Also, from my years of working in a shop, most servers literally could not give enough of a **** to harass a customer on something like that. Not worth the argument IMHO.

That said, you will have that photo on your driving license for years to come - are you sure you want a photo of you aged 14 when you're 30?
Do I go to The Streets tomorrow night?
