I have just finished the following course:
Edexcel (BTEC) Level 3 Diploma in Engineering (ONC)
This course was worth 120 credits and I should come out with the grade 'D*D*' which from using various UCAS calculates, comes out with 280 UCAS points as of 2016. (Does that sound about right?)

Therefore I have been looking at HNC courses which I would study part time as I am an Mechanical Design Engineering apprentice. The HNC will take 2 years of 1 day release study leave but most of the colleges state that I need a minimum of 120 UCAS points which seems quite low compared to what I believe is my final outcome of UCAS points.

That is why I am asking if is possible to skip the HNC and go straight onto a HND part time course which will take 1 year to complete? It would be great if anyone has any information about this, thanks!

Do you think it is possible to apply and with my UCAS points and little experience as an apprentice to be accepted?
