I have a conditional offer to start on a secondary maths pgce course this September. Because i have a psychology degree i am doing a 2 month SKE starting monday. One of the conditons was to get an B at A level but I have messed up time on the exams and looks more like its going to be a C. Are the offers flexible or am I screwed?

Depends, do you have any experience in schools which will make you stand out?
I want to do a PGCE and am about to start my third year of Biomed and I missed out on the grade boundaries by 1%, BIG KICK IN THE TEETH, so I went to the teaching dept of my uni and they said, if I have any experience which will make me stand out which I said I done 2 lots of volunteer work this year plus a little at Sixth Form which they said would more than make up for it.
So, it's not the end of the world and, you could still get it.

Maths teachers are in HIGH demand because no one wants to be a teacher anymore and anyone with a maths degree can get a well paying job.
So, it isn't the end of the world, you still have a chance. =)

I'd not that if your bursary is riding on the offer (I know you can get £9k for having an unrelated degree but an A level), you may find they allow you to take the course, but you'll receive no bursary funding. I am unsure what the requirement was for the A level grade, but I thought it was B/A. You'd be best checking.
Do you agree with the PM's proposal to cut tuition fees for some courses?
