Leaving means the loss of trade deals, loss of jobs as companies relocate out of Britain into the single market, lot of uncertainty due to the lack of any exit plan from the leave campaign; all of which will amount to another recession. There's your negatives straight off. The positives of staying in is in essence that the above won't happen.

Im too young (17 and 10 months so just missing it), but I'd be voting to stay in. I don't want to be the person to tell you what to vote but make sure to do your research and look at both sides of the argument from RELIABLE sources, as there's a lot of false information thrown about as propaganda.
Because of the fact I'm on the 'remain' side, I couldn't really give you any positives about leaving the EU as from what I've read and heard, leaving would result in tragedy - thousands upon thousands of jobs lost, prices going up etc etc. A lot of high level economists have spoken out, and I trust their opinion as they are experts in their area and they predict that going out of the EU will result in really bad issues with the economy, businesses closing etc. Also one of the things that really is making me feel like Brexit is a bad idea is the fact that people like Nigel Farage and other leaders of groups such as BNP are favouring that side, I'd personally rather listen to knowledgeable politicians who's opinions are not based on hating on immigrants and racism.
Of course my view is biased, so if you're really torn, I would suggest doing some of your own research, making sure that you look at unbiased factual information. But yeah, that's just my opinion on the matter.

if you are this clueless on the issue then you shouldn't even *dream* of voting in this referendum. this country doesn't need any more votes that are derived from people who don't know about this matter. please defer to those that actually know about this to a competent degree - some of us have dedicated years and years of research and awareness to this, for instance.
but since I can't stop you: leave
1) national democracy - the EU is anti-democratic and we should not be given laws (50% or more of our collective laws) that are made from people with zero accountability. this problem specifically is only going to get worse and worse as the EU grows as it always does. they are going to get more and more power-mad and out of touch with their non-existent demos. imagine an election where you were voting for politicians who couldn't repeal laws, propose them or amend them - would you say that you have power over anything that way?
2) reduction of EU immigration that hinders employment, school/hospital places, wages, etc. if turkey, serbia, masedonia and montanegro are joining the EU then this immigration problem is also going to get worse seeing as the EU commission is tenacious about this failure called freedom of movement
3) economically to abandon a stagnating protectionist trading group that stops us from getting more international trade, and to save £35~ million a week that we'd otherwise give to the EU to piss away. the "experts" who say we will enter a recession if we leave and the same people who said that we were mad to not join the failed EU currency (the euro)Last edited by sleepysnooze; 17-06-2016 at 21:16.

-> can travel around EU
-> workers rights
-> backing of EU if conservatives go too far/socialist go too far
-> support our education, univerities while government don't give in as much
-> continue to influence EU to progress better deals for UK and EU
-> continue to be #1 in soft power thanks to EU spreading British culture
-> continue to grow above average in EU as countries use UK as an EU gateway
-> keep our record-low jobless rate at 5%; wages begin to rise faster because of it
-> higher growth in short-term
-> won't have conservatives incharge to do whatever they want
negative of staying in
-> slow change
-> stuck in a crisis with european union
-> higher growth in long-term
positives of going out
-> control our land
-> reshape as British, as our past
-> reshape to become a trading superpower once again
-> growth boom
negatives of going out
-> minus net migration, including myself once studies done
-> short-term recession, meaning harder for younger people to get a job
-> lower in economy ranking globally
-> lose some influence as we re-shape ourselfsLast edited by ckfeister; 17-06-2016 at 21:22.

if you call non-racists "racists" for wanting *control*, not abortion, of immigration, then that will fuel the fire that's going to burn you and your side of this argument in this chapter of UK history. this kind of resort is the reason people are listening to groups like UKIP, because they're sick of being called a buzzword that doesn't apply to them. controlling immigration is the international NORM, not the exception. if you're saying control over borders is racist, then every non-EU country is a racist country.
