    Hey!
So i applied for work experience and i got an email asking to confirm date of birth as soon as possible.

I already said my age in my cover letter so do i need to send proof or something? If so what proof? image of my passport?

Sry if there's some obvious answer to this, i'm in year 10 so its my first time doing this.

    Thanks for the help!

Just tell them your DOB. If they want to see a passport or something else they'll ask for that. Good luck!

Yes, when they say they need you to confirm your date of birth, they mean by some official document, that has your DoB on it eg birth certificate.

While I agree it's linguistically ambiguous I think it's unlikely that's what they're meaning. If I phone my bank they ask me to confirm my name. I suspect the company is just after some information which the OP hasn't yet provided them.

I suspect that one person has your application/CV and someone else is now filling in details and wants your DOB on record. If they wanted proof of your ID they'd have asked for that and specified what they wanted. If you're worried you could always say 'my DOB is: DD/MM/YY, do you need any proof (e.g. passport)?.
