I really want to express my passion for my opinion, however I don't want people at my 6th form (including my friends) to be annoyed or think I'm irritable. Also I don't want to offend or cause an argument with the other kids and my teachers as they may obviously have different opinions. What are your thoughts?

Opinions are like buttholes, everyone has one, and most are seen as disgusting by the majority of other people. If you don't want to cause debate, don't wear a badge with a very very debatable opinion on it.

If you want. Personally, I try not to be too public about my political views. Maybe that's a cowardly approach but people can have strong views and I don't like to argue with my friends. Being vocal about one's political stance rarely seems to change other's minds - it just encourages them to be equally vocal. And inevitably, that leads to argument.
