    Hey guys,

I'm currently in Year 12 having finished my AS exams in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and English and all of these (except Maths) have now become 'linear' - now I know that they no longer count towards my A-Level Grade but I'm unsure of to what extent they actually do count. I'm hoping to apply for Medicine yet these AS exams haven't gone too well for me: I was predicted to get 4As but realistically I'll probably achieve ABBB (this wasn't a result of my academic ability but rather my laziness in terms of revision).

Now, seeing as Bio and Chem don't count towards my A Level Grade, if I am still miraculously predicted AAA for my A-Levels, will universities still consider my application for medicine despite my potentially 'bad' AS grades?

(In case it matters, my GCSE grades were 8A*s 2As)

    Thanks :-)

I'm in the same position as you and with similar expectations of grades. I think predicted grades are much more important, but have a look at this if you want to view each unis policyhttps://www.themedicportal.com/medic...ls-2017-entry/
If you've got anymore questions come and check out the 2017 Medicine entry thread, they'll probably reply faster.
