At my school, we don't do the regular GCSE sciences, we do IGCSE's. A much more demanding and difficult course where we do A-Level based work. As difficult as it is, we don't have any coursework and we only have one exam at the end of year 11. Unlike the normal GCSE’s, they have coursework and have two real exams at the end of every year. More exams, but how is this easier? GCSE science is divided into 6 units, 2 per year. after they've completed the 1-2 units and taken the exam, That's it no more revising those 2 units, off to learning the next 3 and 4 units. But for us we are expected to know all the work since year 9 head to toe. I just know how much easier it would have been achieving a A* in the GCSE course. Just a little reminder for those who have the choice of choosing which science they can do, unlike us
