Doesn't change my plans, as i want to go straight to unim but a lot of people i know were really worried about taking a gap year before this announcement, so it's great news for them.

this doesn't help me because i was planning on gap yearing if i was rejected from all 4 medicine courses for 2005 entry. i was planning on then to gap year and reapply for 2006 which means that i will have to pay the extra fees

This is to avoid mass influx before the fees! lol... I say this is an excellent development. Now I can consider a gap year, at least
