Well my OP states I've been rejected, this was about a week ago. I've gotten over it, well mostly, and I have deleted his number so I can't contact him especially after sending the last messages explaining how I liked him and wanted to get to know him (obviously feelings don't matter here and I was completely ignored)

with my feelings being all hurt and that and they still are slightly... It made me think as to whether it's the rejection I dislike, the fact that my ego is hurt, I'm trying to fill a void inside of me? I JUST DON'T KNOW how something like a small rejection from an idiot(s) can affect me so much?

I personally think there may be some low-self esteem issues here and I'm really trying to work on it. BUT MY BIGGEST PROBLEM is not being able to move on from PAST HURT CAUSED BY OTHERS!

I want to so badly move on with life, I'm 80% there.

Also I broke down in tears the other day because I was so emotional (over being rejected AGAIN and just feeling emotionally hurt and insecure about how I look)

I just feel like I need to love myself and I'll meet the right guy one day as I do really want to share my love with someone special but I don't think I'll ever find him.

    What should I do? Thoughts?

    Appreciate the replies

It just seems like the rejection (which hurts, fair enough, been there too) kind of magnifies tiny cracks and insecurities that you're feeling, and with a bit more time and trying your best not to think about it, it should get better.

    A few things though.

    1. I'm not saying that you are or it shows anywhere in your post - I'm just warning you - don't be, or come across as anyway, clingy or desperate. Keep your cool.

    2. Get out there and meet as many new people as you can to maximise your chances of meeting that someone. Don't sit around and expect them to come to you (again, not saying that you are.. just.. in general).

    3. Insecurities are natural.. just do your best to work on them, if they are things that can be changed. Otherwise, you just have to work with them and make the most of what you've got and improve yourself in different ways.

    Good luck!

    1. I have no contact with him, as I stated, I deleted his number. Therefore I cannot be tempted to message or talk to him. I also sent the last message which did not get a response so I believe he has just cut me off completely and doesn't care. Not a surprise, it tends to happen to me A LOT

    2. I plan on doing that. I want to meet and love meeting new people and hopefully in the right time I can meet that special someone.

    3. I do have major insecurities, especially being fearful of everything. Opps. I'll try to relax out a bit. I hate being so insecure about myself

    Thanks
